Eight days after the premiere paint date with Sunnylady, I had the pleasure of joining Doggymommee (Heather) for a second paint date.
Both of us had agreed to paint a X-mas related creation, containing an angel and evergreens, to contribute for the 'Holiday spirit' event on the site. We did not run any video, we only had a picture and our ongoing creations as a reference.
Heather chose a black canvas where I had chosen a white one. The painting might look somewhat bright and empty yet I wanted a sunny background in the snow and decided, together with Heather, not to fill the evergreen with lights and X-mas balls since it looks so good in balance without.
Our paint date was the perfect ending to the weekend and I really can recommend such initiative to everybody. It does nurish creational as well as human spirit!
Please enjoy Doggymommee's creation (Nighttime angel with evergreens) and mine and let us know what you think of it on the forum as well as in our comment boxes!!
Many thanks again, Heather, for being such an adorable painting friend and for sharing so much valuable time to our date!
Wow Voy! Yesterday’s photos did NOT do her justice! She looks amazing. And that evergreen looks superb as well! Absolutely wonderful creation. I should have mine up in a couple hours. Thanks again Voy, I had so much fun!
Thanks Heather! An overnight sleep did the angel good!
Hope to see yours soon!
Mindnite painter, yes, that tree came out so well we decided not to decorate it cause that might've brought the creation down!
I only decided on a shy star on top!
Voy, this is great and quiet scene! I like how the angel's head looking to that star on the tree!
Simple but effective ..... somehow I don' understand why my family does not like this one .... Crazy world!
I think if you go to that book and chapter about focus, you may check with the family if it is what bothers them.
Okidoki Sunnylady!
Very nice! I really like that hazy sky, not the mention the wonderful angel and tree. Well done!
Thank you Lightsnow!
I followed Bob for that sky and really wanted it more pastel like. That tree came out so well, I was not only afraid to highlight it (which I carefully did) but also hesitated to decorate, which luckily I did not.
Till next one!
Love the pastels, beautifully done!
Thanks FVG, although I like the hard colours in my African paintings, I remain a favourite of Bob's pastel colouring!
Hi - did you read my request to allow the Hospices to use your work all year round rather than just for Christmas cards as, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, they were unable to create the website in time? Can you let me know if you agree to the changes or I cannot use your work without your permission.
Many thanks - Colin
Yes Colin, for this work alone, it is okay, no worries!
Looks like someone went to angel academy. Nice sunset!!!!!!!
Personally I prefer Starfleet academy but that is me as a Trekkie talking!

The pressure to make one magnificent tree I’d have to say you rose to the occasion. Good job!
